Millenniheirs

Deeper than a Demographic

Everyone hates millennials. They’re lazy, entitled, and they all live on their parents’ couches. At least that’s the mainstream narrative. As a studio comprised of many millennial creatives, we saw this broad characterization of an entire generational cohort as misguided and unfair. At a time when millennials have emerged as the primary drivers of our culture, we wanted to examine the millennial experience and perspective in good faith. What does it mean to be a millennial? What are their habits? What is shaping their politics? What is their outlook on the future?

Millenniheirs grew from our understanding of millennials as inheritors of the tangled fabric of a globalized society. We presented our research and analysis in a custom book to help readers come to a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the now largest generation in the United States. We also hosted a panel of influential millennial thinkers and entrepreneurs during Social Media Week, and our ongoing Millenniheirs podcast tracks how the millennial experience continues to evolve. As millennials grow families, build businesses, run for office and make other significant contributions to the world, a fair and authentic millennial narrative is more critical than ever.
